The Colaba area is home to many historical buildings and the best way to visit it is by walking and enjoying the variety of architecture present in those streets. We will walk along the main sights of this wonderful city, starting from
Regal Cinema, Gateway of India and passing by a local market. We will meander through the quiet lanes of Kala Ghoda and Fort but also interact with locals and enjoy traditional snacks. This tour ensures not only will you get
to see the major landmarks but you will also explore lesser known areas and gain local knowledge not to be found in the guidebooks. All in the presence of your proud Mumbaikar guide.
Gateway of India
Drawing on Hindu and Islamic architectural styles, the gateway of India sits on the waterfront of Southern Mumbai, and since 1924 was the first thing visitors to the city would see when arriving by boat.
We'll explore the historic architecture of Fort. Home to some of Mumbai's oldest, and finest buildings.
We will visit this Hindu temple dedicated to the God Vishnu and witness how devotees come here to make their offerings and pray for the God.
Another ground in the middle of the city which takes its name from its oval shape. People from Mumbai come here to play all kind of sports, mainly cricket and football, but you may also see some people practice yoga, jogging or just relaxing.
We will enjoy some traditional snacks with locals and taste the different flavours the food of this city has to offer.
