Join us in Sanjay Colony for the festival of colours!
Holi is one of India’s largest and most popular Hindu holidays. Spend the day with Reality Tours learning about life in Sanjay and celebrating this colourful holiday safely and authentically with the community. Sanjay Colony is a small slum built on 25 acres of land located in the south of Delhi near the Bahai Lotus Temple and Iskcon temple. Spend 2 hours walking around and learning about working and residential life and witness how despite the challenging living conditions it remains an area charged with positive energy and strong community.
Holi Party: Towards the end of the tour, we will visit a local family and then walk to the park to play Holi! You will be joined by our friends and partners from the community, children in our various programs as well as staff from Reality Tours and Reality Gives!
Safety: While Holi can be a rowdy festival, we are taking every precaution to ensure everyone’s safety and comfort. Safety is our number one priority. We will also be using specially purchased natural powders.
Have extra space in your suitcase? We are proud members of Pack for a Purpose, an initiative that allows travelers like you to make a lasting impact in the community at your travel destination. If you save just a few kilos of space in your suitcase for the projects supported by Reality Gives, you’ll make a priceless impact in the lives of our local children and families.
