This tour packs so many different and typically Indian experiences into one incredible journey slightly off the regular tourist trail.

You will learn all about Lord Krishna as you visit the cities he was born in and spent his youth. See how modern communities in these ancient cities continue to revere and worship his influence. En route we stop at a small farming community to sample what life is still like for the majority of Indians. We’ll visit the famous ghats and enjoy a scenic ride on the Yamuna

River, finishing the day with a traditional aarti ceremony in honour of this sacred location. Including return hotel transport travelling by private vehicle, your friendly guide from Reality will be with you the entire time to ensure you make the most of your time on this fascinating day tour.

    Chai in a village

    We will enjoy some chai on our way to Mathura while learning about village life from the community members. Your guide will help you get answers to any extra questions you may have.

    Mathura

    Being the birthplace of Lord Krishna, Mathura is one of the holiest cities in India. Not only there are many temples and shrines, but also numerous historical buildings. Once here we will walk to the ghats and surrounding areas.

    Boat Ride

    We will take a typical boat ride on the Yamuna River and enjoy the amazing views while moving from one ghat to another. This is the most authentic way to witness the amazing architecture of the structures and temples.

    Vrindavan

    Walking around is the best way to experience the local life and energy of this town full of heritage buildings and temples. Once here we will visit a family and have lunch with them. Also known as the Shelter City for Widows, your guide will explain how over 20,000 widows live in this city.

    Prem Mandir

    One of the finest temples in the area, Prem Mandir features a very intricate architecture and stone carving. It is the most famous temple in Vrindavan and it is surrounded by a large garden and beautiful fountains.

How long will it take to get to Mathura?

It takes 3.5 hours to drive to Mathura from Delhi. We will travel in a private air-conditioned car and stop at a small village for a chai on the way there to break up the journey.
