From a river boat trip and spiritual ceremony, to visiting some of the main temples associated with one of India's most revered deities. From a rural village visit to a home-cooked lunch with a local family. This tour packs so many different and typically Indian experiences into one incredible journey slightly off the regular tourist trail.

You will learn all about Lord Krishna as you visit the cities he was born in and spent his youth. See how modern communities in these ancient cities continue to revere and worship his influence. En route we stop at a small farming community to sample what life is still like for the majority of Indians. We’ll visit the Bhakivedanta Swami Goshala cow shelter

in Vrindavan, explore the famous ghats in Mathura, and enjoy a scenic ride on the Yamuna River, as well as visiting the Jama Mosque.     Chai in a village

    We will enjoy some chai on our way to Mathura while learning about village life from the community members. Your guide will help you get answers to any extra questions you may have.

    Walking around is the best way to experience the local life and energy of this town full of heritage buildings and temples. Also known as the Shelter City for Widows, your guide will explain how over 20,000 widows live in this city.

    Prem Mandir

    One of the finest temples in the area, Prem Mandir features a very intricate architecture and stone carving. It is the most famous temple in Vrindavan and it is surrounded by a large garden and beautiful fountains.

    Being the birthplace of Lord Krishna, Mathura is one of the holiest cities in India. Not only there are many temples and shrines, but also numerous historical buildings. Once here we will visit a family, have lunch with them and walk to the ghats.

    Boat Ride

    We will take a typical boat ride on the Yamuna River and enjoy the amazing views while moving from one ghat to another. This is the most authentic way to witness the amazing architecture of the structures and temples.

How long will it take to get to Mathura?

It takes 3.5 hours to drive to Mathura from Delhi. We will travel in a private air-conditioned car and stop at a small village for a chai on the way there to break up the journey.
