Prices

** We have decided to increase the prices as of 1 April 2008.

Reasons for price increase

  • We now have to charge service tax.
  • the overall consensus (from past customers filling out questionnaires) is that our charges are too cheap
  • by increasing the prices slightly (which we still believe to be value for money), we will be able to break even quicker and help more people from the underpriveleged communities of the city

In comparison to other tour operators in Mumbai, our charges are still a lot cheaper than many, and we could raise prices further if it were not for the fact that we want as many people as possible to see Dharavi.

All prices in the table below include fuel costs, up to the maximum allowance where applicable. This allowance should be ample in most cases. The charge for exceeding this allowance is Rs 10 per km.

We currently are unable to accept payment by credit card or any other payment gateway. W ask that you pay the guide on the day, and that you PLEASE let us know if your arrangements change.

NOTES

1 Please note that to get the most out of this tour, it is best to start from Colaba, or as close to Colaba as possible. For tourists staying in other parts of Mumbai who wish to book the car and hence be picked up from their hotel, we can advise on what will and will not be included in the tour depending on the location of your hotel. For hotels north of Mahim (such as Juhu, Airport area, Bandra) only the Dharavi element of the tour is included and hence it might be considering doing the short tour. The cost of the long tour will be greater as well due to extra time and distance. For Juhu and Airport hotels, cost is an additional Rs 500 and for Bandra an additional Rs 200. Please enquire for details and prices for other areas.

2 Additional short tours will run at 10am and additional long tours will run at 2pm only if there is sufficient demand.

3 Start time can be later.

4 There are extra fees for entrance into The National Park, and for the Tiger/Lion Safari and Kanheri Caves. These are:

  • Basic entry into park: Rs 90 plus Rs 20 per person
  • Tiger and Lion Safari: Rs 30 per person
  • Kanheri Caves: Rs 100 per person

5 Payment is in Indian Rupees. The prices quoted in US dollars are approximate. If you wish to pay in foreign currency, we will calculate the amount based on the exchange rate that day with the Rupee.
