Refund Policy

Refund Policy

At Reality Tours & Travel, we strive to provide the best travel experiences. If you need to request a change or cancellation, please read the guidelines below carefully.

1. Conditions to Qualify for a Refund

    • Refunds or changes are applicable only if requests are communicated in writing to our team at info@realitytoursandtravel.com (or WhatsApp us at +91 9820822253) (for City Tours) or reservations@realitytoursandtravel.com (for Multi-Day Tours).
    • Refunds are subject to deductions for:
      • Transaction fees charged by the payment provider.
      • Non-refundable expenses such as pre-booked vehicles, hotels, guides, flights, or other arrangements made specifically for your tour.
      • Admin fee (applicable for Multi-Day Tours)
    • Late arrival by the customer does not qualify for a refund.
    • Full refunds are applicable only if Reality Tours & Travel cancels the tour, or in cases of geopolitical events or official lockdowns preventing the tour as advertised.
    • Our team will review your request and notify you of approval and applicable charges.

2. Refund Timeline

    • Refund requests will be reviewed and approved based on the conditions above.
    • Once approved, refunds will be processed within 3-7 business days.
    • After processing, please allow your payment provider 5–10 business days for the funds to appear in your original payment method

3. Cancellation Charges (Summary)

Cancellation charges have been calculated to cover our costs for day tours, and for multi-day tours, they also include a modest administrative fee to partially offset internal salary costs.

Timing and Charges (if applicable)

      • City Tours – >24 hours before tour: 10% deduction (transaction fees) plus any non-refundable logistics expenses (see below)
      • City Tours – <24 hours before tour: No refund
      • Multi-Day Tours – 60+ days before tour start date: 20% cancellation charge on the total booking cost *^ 
      • Multi-Day Tours – 31–59 days before tour start date: 40% cancellation charge on the total booking cost *^
      • Multi-Day Tours – 15–30 days before tour start date: 70% cancellation charge on the total booking cost *^
      • Multi-Day Tours – <14 days before tour start date: 100% cancellation charge 

*For some tours, there might be non-refundable logistic expenses (see below), and the cancellation charge may differ. In such a case, we will inform you in advance, before confirming the booking.
^ If the booking amount was paid via PayPal or Stripe, an additional fee of  5.5 – 8.7%  (of the total amount paid via these platforms) will be deducted. 

4. Full Refund Exceptions:

If the tour is cancelled at any time before the start date due to any of the following reasons, you will receive a full refund of the amount paid, less any non-refundable logistics expenses (see below): 

  • Any geopolitical event that prevents the passenger(s) from entering the country.
  • Lockdown within India that prevents the passenger(s) from experiencing the tour as advertised.

5.  Non-Refundable Logistics Expenses

These expenses may include, but are not limited to:

    • Pre-booked vehicle hire
    • Hotel or other accommodation bookings
    • Fees for guides, experts, or specialist services
    • Transport reservations such as flights, train tickets, or ferries
    • Any other confirmed bookings or arrangements made specifically for your tour.
