It’s no secret that Mumbai is the centre of Bollywood. We’ll take you on an exclusive behind the scenes experience at a Bollywood studio and learn about filmmaking.

Your guide (and Bollywood fan) will meet you at Churchgate station and you will catch the train and metro (the quickest way to get around Mumbai!) before getting a rickshaw to the Studio.

On arrival at the Studio, you will walk through some elaborate film and/or TV sets, seeing live action as well as learning about the process of making movies and TV shows from a local representative.

There will also be opportunities to get involved if you want! There is an audio room, where you can sing along to your favourite Bollywood song Karaoke style and have a recording sent to your email! Also, there’s some live Bollywood dancing performed just for you and you can try this out at the end if you wish!

Meeting/Maps

The Bollywood Studio is in Saki Naka, quite close to the International Airport. We put the meeting point at Churchgate Railway station as most people stay in South Mumbai, and you can travel by train and metro (the quickest way to get around!) with your guide to get to the Studio, but if you prefer to meet directly there, do let us know.

Churchgate Railway Station (See “A” in Map below)

Meeting Time: 10.00am or 1.00pm
There are four entrances to Churchgate Station, including two subways. The first photo shows the station as you approach from Colaba and where the entrance is. Once inside the station, go to “Wheeler” Convenience Store, about 30 metres before the platforms (Photos: One, Two, Three)

End Points

Andheri Railway Station (See “B” in Map below)

End Time: 3.00pm or 6.00pm approximately
The tour officially ends at Andheri Station after a metro ride back from the Studio. From there if you want to return back to Churchgate Station or catch a local train to another part of Mumbai, he/she will escort you to the train station and put you on the train. If you prefer, your guide can help you get a taxi after the Studio tour at Saki Naka (near International Airport) instead.
