Discover the colours, flavours, and energy of Jaipur on our Jaipur Heritage Walk. This 3-hour tour takes you through the old city’s busy lanes just before sunset, when the pink walls glow golden, and the streets fill with food aromas, shopkeepers calling, and the cheerful chaos of everyday life. Along the way, you’ll meet the Cheepa community and try your hand at block printing, a craft passed down for generations and closely linked to India’s caste traditions. You’ll also visit skilled lacquer bangle makers from the Manihari or Lakhera community, shaping and polishing your colourful bangle. We will also stop by the workshops of traditional sculpture makers to understand their community and see beautiful idols being crafted by hand, from Hindu deities like Ganesha, Lakshmi, and Durga to intricate temple décor and festival statues — each piece reflecting deep faith, symbolism, and artistic skill passed down over centuries.

The tours ends with a breezy electric rickshaw ride through the sparkling streets, soaking in the lights, colours, and magic of Jaipur.

FAQs

Jaipur is famous for block-painting, blue pottery, and gemstone jewellery.  Bangles in Jaipur have a special marketplace.

Cheepa (also known as Chhimpi, Chhimpa or Chhipi) are one of the well-recognised communities of Rajasthan. Their primary occupation is dyeing and printing clothes.

Jaipur is famous for its intricately decorated lac bangles, made from natural resin secreted by insects. Visit areas like Maniharo ka Rasta to watch these bangles being handcrafted by artisans.

As in every part, there is a good variety of street food in Jaipur. There are various types of Kachoris (a deep-fried, spicy, stuffed snack), spicy mirchi bada (huge green chilies dipped in gram flour batter, then deep-fried), etc. Be it Ghewar (This honeycomb-like treat is dipped in sugar syrup) or Imarati (Deep-fried in ghee and drowned in sugar syrup and paired with a sweet, condensed-milk-based dish), no Rajasthani meal is complete without something sweet, and the state takes its desserts very seriously.

Yes, Jaipur is very walkable. Exploring Jaipur on foot can be a rewarding way to experience the city due to its compact layout and pedestrian-friendly streets.
