The Taj Mahal is one of those rare world famous sights that exceeds expectations. Any trip to Delhi is not complete without a visit to Agra, taking in this jaw-dropping architectural marvel.
You will be picked up from your hotel and Delhi and taken to Agra by an air-conditioned car.
On arrival in Agra in the late morning, we head straight to the Taj Mahal where you can spend as long as you like
For lunch, you have many options which we can recommend. Normally after lunch you visit the Agra Fort, which is also spectacular and would be the crowing jewel of almost any other city.
If you still have the energy, you can go to Mehtab Bagh, a small 22 acre Persian-style garden located next to the Yamuna river, offering a very unique view of the Taj Mahal. There is also the option to visit the tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah (“Baby Taj Mahal”)
Many people like to visit these places independently, roaming around at their own pace, while for those who want a local certified tour guide, we can provide this for you as an optional extra (which you can select while booking the tour).
You will then be driven back to your hotel in Delhi.

Kindly Note: the Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays to allow the local Muslim community to hold prayers at the mosque situated within the complex.

We would highly recommend including Agra Fort in your day. Although less well-known, it is very impressive and our guests are always happy they went. It also has an interesting view of the Taj Mahal. But if you would like to skip it, we can.
